Granite Tops is a second-generation family business of European origin, with roots in Southwest Detroit, Michigan — where the family first built its name in marble and granite fabrication. That European passion for architectural craftsmanship, classical design, and natural stone runs through everything we do. Countertops, vanities, fireplaces, outdoor façades — the craft was passed down with old-world standards and a genuine love for the material.
Now established in Texas, we bring that same heritage to large-scale commercial installation across the country. We specialize in the full range of architectural tile and stone work — flooring, steam rooms, stone cladding, exterior tile, and custom mosaic installations — for general contractors, developers, and property managers.
We're not a large national sub. We're a family-rooted company that takes pride in every square foot — and our project history proves it.

That heritage came to Southwest Detroit with the first generation and has been carried forward ever since — now based in Texas and working across the country.

European Heritage — A Passion for Stone
The family's roots trace back to Europe, where a deep appreciation for architectural craftsmanship — marble, granite, ornate stonework, and classical design — was part of everyday life. That European sensibility for quality and detail became the foundation of everything that followed.
Southwest Detroit — First Generation
The family brought that European passion for stone to Southwest Detroit, Michigan, where the first generation established themselves in marble and granite fabrication. Countertops, vanities, fireplaces, outdoor façades — the craft was built from the ground up with old-world standards in a new city.
Expanding the Craft
The second generation carried the passion further — expanding beyond fabrication into full architectural installation. Flooring, stone cladding, steam rooms, exterior tile, and custom mosaic work became part of the family's expertise, driven by a love for masonry and European architectural design in all its forms.
Granite Tops Founded
Building on the family's Detroit heritage and European design roots, Granite Tops was established with a focus on quality tile and stone installation for commercial clients across the Greater Midwest.
Acuity Insurance HQ
Completed tile and stone work across the landmark Acuity Insurance headquarters campus in Sheboygan, Wisconsin — one of the Midwest's most iconic commercial buildings.
Titletown Flats & MKE Ascent
Delivered full flooring packages for Titletown Flats in Green Bay (adjacent to Lambeau Field) and tile work throughout MKE Ascent, Milwaukee's tallest mass timber residential tower.
Dellshire Resort
Completed the grand lobby renovation at Dellshire Resort in Wisconsin Dells — including the custom hand-set compass rose mosaic medallion centerpiece.
Established in Texas
Granite Tops expands its base of operations to Texas — bringing the family's European-rooted craft and decades of commercial installation experience to new markets across the South and beyond.

Our core focus spans the Southwest, Southeast, and Midwest — based in Willis, Texas with deep roots across the country. From Texas and California to New York and Florida, we're positioned to serve contractors and developers coast to coast without missing a beat.
